The Journal

Writing from the garden, for women who have spent a long time holding everyone else up.

What you will find here

These are not wellness tips. There is no list of five things to try tonight.

This is a place to put words to things that are hard to name. The exhaustion that sleep does not touch. The strange grief of a house that has gone quiet. The moment you realize you cannot answer a simple question about what you actually like. Midlife, caregiving, boundaries, rest, and the long work of returning to yourself.

Some of it comes from twenty years of listening to women on this property. Some of it comes from my own season of finding my way back.

If something here describes you, you are not the only one. That is usually the most useful thing a piece of writing can do.

The first pieces are being written

A note once a month

One piece of writing, one photograph from the property, and an invitation. Nothing else, and never anyone else's list.

Reading about it is not the same as sitting down

If any of this has been describing you, the two hour experience is where most women begin.
